What’s New in 2014…

Last year we replaced our old reptile exhibit with a brand new trailer. This year we are doing the same with our exotic animal exhibit. The new one will be BIGGER and BETTER, housing animals such as 4 different monkey species, prehensile tailed porcupines, lemurs, fennec fox, coatimundis and more. We will also have jackals on exhibit this year.

Making its debut at the end of May, will be a BRAND NEW walk-in bird aviary with over 300 parakeets in free flight. Visitors will be able to watch the birds from the outside or enter into the bird aviary for a chance to encounter the birds up close and personal. Picture and feeding opportunities available. So when you come see us at fairs and festivals throughout Michigan this summer, bring your camera and come see  the new critters.

Help wanted…

We are a private family-owned company. We do not receive any government funding. Keeping our animals happy and healthy is our primary concern. In order to give our animals the best live possible, we are always expanding and improving their habitats. In 2011 we build a huge indoor pool for the alligators and built new indoor enclosures for our exotic animals. In 2012 we fenced in 15 acres of our property to give the petting zoo animals new pastures. In 2013 we gave all reptiles brand new enclosures, plus we expanded our heated barn and made improvements to all enclosures at home. In 2014, we are now focusing on improving the traveling exhibits by making all enclosures much larger.

If you would like to support us you can help in the following ways:

1. Monetary donations are always welcome!!!

2. Book us!

3. Check out our wish list below and donate what you can!

4. Gift Cards to stores such as Meijer, Walmart, Petsmart, Menards, etc (we can purchase whatever we need for the animals!)

5. Refer us to schools, libraries, nursing homes, churches, festivals, and other organizations

6. If you know a restaurant owner, or a grocery store manager ask them if they would be willing to donate the food they would normally throw out! Outdated produce, leftovers from salad buffets, stale bread from bakeries, etc. Don’t waste it -our animals love it! (see a list of foods we can use below)

7. Show up at our public exhibits and presentations, and participate in the various activities such as feeding our birds and petting zoo animals, taking pictures with an animal, taking a ride on a camel, etc

6. LIKE us and leave positive feedback on our Facebook page, then invite your friends to LIKE us too

7. Volunteer for us! We always need help cleaning animal enclosures, fixing or building things on the farm, or extra volunteers to help with set-up and tear-down at public events. (apply via email)
